28 Jun Peace & Assist: A Brief Backstory
Ladies and Gentlemen, Call to Arms Brewing Company and Cannonball Creek Brewing Company are proud to introduce the inaugural Peace & Assist collaboration event at Cannonball’s taproom on July 26, 2014.
When we first approached Hutch and Jason at Cannonball about creating a beer together, we had very little hope we’d be able to work the beer into their already-busy brewing schedule; but in their typical, relaxed fashion, they quickly agreed to the idea, and Peace & Assist was born.
Built upon solidarity and camaraderie, Peace & Assist is intended to showcase the simple fact that craft beer is an industry built on the sharing of ideas and the practice of helping one-another out whenever possible – be it through exchanging hops, lending parts and equipment, or in this case, sharing a brewhouse for two days and a fermie for another three weeks!
And while we’re still organizing the final details of this event and waiting for our beer to fully ferment, we intend to make this a yearly event in which Call to Arms and/or Cannonball work together with another brewery in need of support or looking to position themselves in the public eye.
If you haven’t already done so, please try to set July 26th aside on your calendar and come on down to enjoy live music, great grub from Oskar Blues’ CHUBurger food truck, and our kettle-soured hibiscus and pink peppercorn, Drie-brett/Dupont-blend fermented belgian ale.
As always, thanks to all of our fans for the constant support, and many thanks to Cannonball Creek for making Peace & Assist a reality. We’ll see you on the 26th!
