As Mariah Carey’s reasonably limited Christmas wish list begins drifting back into the public consciousness, the elves at Denver’s Call to Arms Brewing (CtA) have started on their own holiday prep in hopes of spreading even more holiday cheer with the return of Big Holiday Energy in 2024.

Call to Arms Brewing is thrilled to announce the third annual “Big Holiday Energy” holiday pop-up featuring a complete transformation of its taproom room into a Winter Wonderland takeover. This year’s edition of Big Holiday Energy will be bigger and better than ever featuring even more decorations, holiday-themed beers, and a 30 x 70-foot tent in front of the brewery to spread even more holiday cheer.

Imagine a full forest of Christmas trees hanging from the ceiling, coupled with massive bauble ornaments suspended from CtA’s extended heated tent joining a full-on light show within the tent experience. But beyond the normal decking of halls, this year’s Big Holiday Energy will really lean into the theme of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation with the return of the iconic moose mugs, and several movie-inspired experiential stations and an immersive VIP drinking area.

This year’s Big Holiday Energy will kick off Wednesday, November 27, and run through Wednesday, January 1.

“Call to Arms has always focused on keeping beer fun, and what could be more fun than to go all-out Holiday party,” said Chris Bell, co-founder of Call to Arms Brewing.

In addition to bringing the holly jolly festive decor, Call to Arms’ “Big Holiday Energy” will feature an assortment of holiday promotions throughout the month-and-a-half-long run. Activities include a Daily Advent Calendar, beginning 12/1/23, where the first customer that comes in each day will get the opportunity to open the advent for that day, revealing the prize inside ranging from discounted merch and gift cards to a private brewery tour for four. 

Other Big Holiday Energy activations include a daily scavenger duck hunt with prizes for finding them all, a few pop-up surprises including one to kick off the festivities on Thursday, December 5 and visits from Santa every Sunday kicking off on December 7 from 1-5 pm, which will include free photos with the big guy. Lottie’s Meats will also be on-site serving traditionally inspired Swedish cuisine on December 14 and 21.

Visitors can also enjoy a hot chocolate station on the weekends, holiday movies playing in the taproom throughout the month, and a lineup of popular food trucks on-site each weekend.

Santa Jon will be joining us again from the North Pole, taking pictures with all of the good girls & boys of our greater Highlands neighborhoods. This event is geared toward the younger kiddos - to help parents avoid the long lines and paying for pricey pictures at the mall, or other crazy locations that are a parents nightmare.

Your child's spot in line for Santa will be on a first come, first serve basis. So come early and indulge in some tasty brews or other beverages offered for sale at Call to Arms Brewery while you wait to see Santa. The earlier you come, the happier Santa will be, as he does need to be back on his sleigh at 5:00PM to visit other boys & girls!

HSC is happy to offer this event every year! We also love GIVING BACK to the community and are excited to announce that we are once again supporting those less fortunate this holiday season though Rocky Mountain Prep Berkeley's ADOPT A FAMILY Program. The more donations we collect, the more families we can support/adopt this Christmas! Thus we have a $10 MINIMUM DONATION, but if you can do more, please do. We will share the # of families we support thorugh our efforts at the event.
